Founder Ray takes the Open Door for a spin himself, hiccups and all, and records exactly the kind of message the feature was built for. Along the way he shares the news: Budapest.fm has relaunched, and it is no longer just a podcast network but a podcast host too, built in-house after one too many hassles with hosting companies.
He walks through how the Open Door works: no app, no setup, just the record button at the top of the site. Talk about Budapest, or whatever is on your mind, press send, and you have a real chance of hearing yourself on a Budapest.fm podcast.
As Ray puts it himself: your podcast cannot be any worse than the one he just recorded. Come and try.

Okay, I'm going to try to do this without trying to do the hiccups. I got the hiccups right now. Hey, my name is Ray. This is Budapest. I'm the founder of Budapest.fm. I'm having a good day just testing out things here. So check this out. I just relaunched Budapest.fm. It's kind of a soft lunch right now. So, you know, be gentle when you go to the site. A lot of things I still need to get working properly.
Budapest.fm is a podcast network for those that don't know. But now it's also a podcast host, which is something I've been wanting to do for a while. Why? Because I got tired of getting hassled by these podcast hosting companies. So I figured if you can't beat them, join them. Or no, if you can't join them, beat them. I think that's what I meant to say. Anyway, we ended up building one ourselves.
And one of the features I'm excited about is the feature I'm using right now. It has a microphone right from the browser. You can pick up your phone, click a button, and just start talking. It's no app, no setup. It's simple to get to how it works.
You go to the home page, click on the record button at the top. Boy, I keep hiccuping. I can't get rid of these hiccups. You click on the home button at the top of the website page. And when you see that, you click on that. That'll take you to the app itself.
I can't believe I got these hiccups right now. I'm trying to finish recording. And you send it, right? And you just start talking. You talk about anything. Talk about Budapest. Talk about whatever is on your mind. Honestly. Honestly.
And the place you like about it. Something you like that's around Budapest or so hungry. The things you remember. Whatever, again, is on your mind. Doesn't have to be a big deal. And close it out. And then that's it. You just press send.
And that's it. Really. That truly is it. So give it a try. It's called Open Door.
And that's it. I got to stop because I keep hiccuping and I feel so embarrassed about this. But anyway, your podcast can't be any worse than the one I just did.
So I encourage anybody and everybody who has always wanted to do a podcast and hear themselves on a podcast to click on here.
And you got a really good chance of being on a podcast on Budapest.fm.
Anyway, my name is Ray. Thank you for listening and bearing with this conversation. I'm done. Bye.
