The Open Door
A few simple things keep The Open Door welcoming, safe, and easy to publish. Please read these before you record.
Keep it short
Recordings can be up to five minutes. Shorter is often better, so say what matters and stop when you are done.
Speak clearly
Find a quiet spot, hold your device fairly close, and speak at a natural pace. A little background sound is fine; a lot makes it hard to publish.
Only use what is yours
Record your own voice and your own story. Do not add background music, clips, or other material you do not have the right to use.
Be kind and lawful
No abusive, hateful, threatening, or unlawful content, and no impersonating anyone. If you talk about other people, respect their privacy, and get their permission if they can be identified.
One story at a time
Keep each recording to a single story or idea. If you have more to share, send another recording.
What happens next
Submitting a recording does not guarantee it will be published. We may edit it for clarity, length, or sound quality, and we may decide not to publish it. You can ask us to remove your recording at any time by emailing hello@budapest.fm. Full details are in our Terms and Privacy Policy.
